The Founders’ Day event on April 3 honors 51 Knights — including Order of Pegasus inductees — who exemplify excellence in academics, service and leadership.

Along with Pegasus Professor and Reach for the Stars honorees, more than 150 faculty were recognized for their commitment to excellence during the annual Founders’ Day celebration.

The team, which represented UCF in the competition for the first time, will be honored on the court during the 2024-25 season.

The American Society of Civil Engineering took home a total of 12 awards from the ceremony, which was hosted on the UCF main campus.

A team of STEM students took first place in the Southeast Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition and won three specialty awards.

Clinical associate professors Laurie Neely and Jennifer Tucker ’23PhD are honored for exemplary work to promote interprofessional education.

With residency and fellowship programs from Pensacola to Greater Orlando, the UCF-HCA consortium is one of the fastest growing Graduate Medical Education programs in the state and will be training more than 620 physicians by this summer.

On Friday, 117 UCF College of Medicine seniors placed into residencies — the entire Class of 2024, which entered medical school at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Starting this summer, UCF will provide students more term options to complete courses — helping them complete their degrees on time.
